Right to pursue the profession of pharmacist
The title of a pharmacist in Poland may be used by a person who holds a document “The right to practise as a pharmacist” issued by the Supreme or District Pharmaceutical Chamber.
A pharmacist practising in a pharmacy, a pharmacy or a pharmaceutical wholesaler shall be entitled to use the title of pharmacist.
The professional title of pharmacist is protected by law.

A pharmacist who has been granted the right to practise as a pharmacist shall take the following oath: ‘I solemnly swear in the performance of his work to perform his duties conscientiously, zealously and with due diligence, always bearing in mind the interests of the patient, the requirements of professional ethics and the applicable law, as well as the maintenance of professional secrecy, and to act in accordance with the principles of dignity, honesty and fairness in the conduct of his proceedings’.
Qualification to practise as a pharmacist is obtained by a person who has completed 5.5 years of pharmacy studies in Poland at a university, including at least six months of professional experience in a pharmacy, and has obtained the title of Master of Pharmacy.
A person who obtains the right to practise as a pharmacist shall be subject to an entry in the register of pharmacists kept by the District Pharmaceutical Council competent for the place of practising the profession.
